Phil began his career in London with Bankers Trust in Securities Lending after completing his Finance degree, before joining US Investment Banks J.P. Morgan Australia and Merrill Lynch/Bank of America. Across these roles in Equity Finance, Prime Brokerage and Institutional Sales Trading, Phil managed trade flow, discovered arbitrage opportunities, sourced stock borrows, and delivered financing solutions for institutional clients including hedge funds, long–short managers, asset managers, brokers, and custodians.

Phil went on to establish the Equity Finance business for BNY Mellon subsidiary Pershing Securities Australia, building the operation from the ground zero up before managing the Equity Capital Markets business at Openmarkets Australia.

With extensive experience across global markets and a deep understanding of institutional trading and financing, Phil is committed to providing clients with tailored solutions across trading, asset financing, stock borrow and short selling in both Australian and international equities, as well as taking advantage of ETFs, bonds, and digital assets. Supported by strong relationships across the financial ecosystem, his strategic orientation enables clients to access liquidity, flexibility, and opportunity at institutional scale.
